Coulson Turnbull (editor) - The Lightbearer
Alameda, California: 1907 (November). Volume 11, Number 5. Stapled paper wraps. 142 pp. Good condition. Flaking to periphery of covers; interior pages well-preserved, clean. Binding is still intact--barely. Rare.
The Lightbearer was a monthly journal devoted to "science of the soul, forgotten Christian mysteries, occult law and astral science."
and included book reviews, essays, and an advisory column open to public query. It must be said that several different journals or pamphlets issued under this (apparently irresistible) trademark simultaneously, each apparently without affiliation to the others but all inclined toward similar esoteric topics. This has produced a great deal of confusion for the collector of occult ephemera but it would be a tedious and dreary world were it otherwise.
