Viking, 1961. 8vo. Hardcover. Book-of-the-Month club edition. Very good condition. Immaculate pages. No markings. Scuff to cloth boards at lower front forecorner. Dust jacket is very good; light wear along periphery, rubbing along front joint and fore-edge (see photo). The only Steinbeck novel set on the east coast, The Winter of Our Discontent was widely praised and helped earn the author a Nobel Prize in Literature just a few years later.
