Crown, 1956. 8vo. Hardcover. First American edition, third printing. 434 pp. Translated (from Yiddish!) by Julius and Frances Butwin. Very good condition. Immaculate pages. No markings. Light wear along cloth boards at base of spine. Price-clipped dust jacket is a bit unprepossessing, marked unfortunately by a large scuff along upper front edge; there is a bit of rubbing along spine tips as well. Let's say it's in fair condition. The Old Country was adapted for the stage under the name 'Fiddler on the Roof.'
