Rosamond Lehmann - Dusty Answer
Henry Holt, 1927. Hardcover. 8vo. 348 pp. First edition, first printing. Condition is fair. Ex-library book with branch name ink-stamped on upper textblock edge, emboss stamped on half-title page. Front free endpaper has been cleanly clipped to about 2mm from the front hinge. Ex-libris sticker of former owner (unrelated to municipal lending library ownership I assume, although it is hand-dated to 1927) on front pastedown paper. (Don't worry, it's a tasteful unicorn themed bookplate sticker.) Foxing shadows on rear endpaper from scotch tape on jacket flaps--or rather, on the mylar jacket cover at such position; the tape is affixed at the other end to boards. Dust jacket is in very good condition with scuffing at forecorners, small chip along head of spine (see photos). In concluding, I must say this book looks better than it sounds.
