New York: Doubleday, 1937. Reprint. Hardcover. 8vo. Black cloth binding. 472 pp. Good condition. Light wear to boards. Toning to textblock edges. Small closed vertical tear (2cm or so, repaired) to rear pastedown paper adjoining hinge. No markings to pages. Dust jacket is edge-worn, with chipping at forecorners and spine tips and a patchwork of crease-lines on front cover radiating from the corners (see photos). The trade edition of Dear Theo was published in 1937 by Houghton Mifflin. The Doubleday edition indicates the same date on the copyright page, but it is obviously of more recent vintage--probably issued ca. 1950.
