Prolix former owner has written name on half-title page, some dictionary definitions on rear free endpaper recto, and scribbled what looks to be a to-do list on half-title page verso. No marking to text proper, but there is a non-negligible amount of smudgery/general wear to edges of boards and textblock. Dust jacket is a bit edge-worn, dulled evidently by fingers of eager readers of yesteryear and perhaps the rays of the titular summer sun as well. Who knows. Light in August is Modern Library book number 88.
