This copy is a hardcover with dust jacket in fair condition. Minor signs of wear to edges of jacket and pages of text, as pictured. Wear to dust jacket, boards, and text block includes: chipping, open and closed tears, rubbing, sun-fading, foxing, and areas of discoloration. Binding is somewhat bent. The dust jacket has not been price clipped, however, the previous bookstore has written a price in pen over the original printed price. Toning to inner boards and pages. Rectangular area of discoloration to the front, inner board/front endpaper from a, since removed, piece of newspaper left by the previous owner. Pencil marking to the upper, inner spine of the same page. Illustrated with black-and-white photographs. Published by Harper & Brothers in 1952. Later printing. 335pp.
