William Sloane, 1940. Hardcover. 8vo. Book-of-the-Month club edition (presumably--no price on jacket, red topstain). Yellow cloth binding. 220 pp. Illustrated by Don Freeman. Good condition. Minor smudging to cloth along spine and rear joint, Toning patter to pastedown papers front and back along inner hinges. Clean pages. No markings. Dust jacket is a bit edge-worn, has small open tears along head of spine, upper rear edge along with some surface rubbing (see photos).
