This copy is a hardcover with (some sort of very early) dust jacket in poor condition. Chipping to perimeter of dust jacket as well as to the upper/lower areas of the jackt spine. Some scratching, rubbing, discoloration, and toning to the front/rear cover of the jacket. Damage to inner spine. First title page is detached but included with the book. Binding is rather loose. Binding is slightly rolled with minor separation of the spine from the text block. Scratching, toning, and areas of discoloration to the edges of the text block. Fragile inner hinges. Toning/areas of discoloration/staining/smudging to inner boards/pages of the text. Fragile pages with chipping at some of the corners. Profusely illustrated. Published in 1895 by the Joseph Knight Company. 651pp. VOLUME II ONLY***
