Previous bookstore sticker pasted to rear, inner cover (with adjacent damage to rear endpaper). Some damage and signs of wear to the perimeter and the spine of the covers. Original red bookmarker is intact, though in rough condition. Closed tear to the middle of the front endpaper. Creasing, toning, scratching, and discoloration to boards/inner boards/pages of the text/ text block edge.

I love old books and this is one I'm glad to get. I can tell it was well-read and maybe carried in a pocket as the cover is flexible or else it's from just being read so often. It's a little treasure. I especially love reading old classic stories from the time they were first enjoyed after being published. I can't wait to read it!
