Thomas Gitchoff, professor of criminal justice at San Diego State University, a circumstance attested by stamps on the front endpaper and upper textblock edge, bearing his name and university affiliation. Signed by editor Tom Gaddis (author of, aside from present book, "The Birdman of Alcatraz") on title page. Incipient endpaper splitting along front and rear hinges; general wear along edges of textblock and covers. No markings to text. Binding remains solid. Dust jacket is edge-worn, rubbed along joints, and suffers a diagonal tape-repaired closed tear extending from the head of the spine to the lower rear forecorner.
