First edition, first printing--I believe; the Book-of-the-Month Club edition for this title is difficult to distinguish from the trade edition, but I am confident that there is no blindstamp on the rear cover of our book, which view I have adduced photographically to corroborate my judgment. Hardcover. 8vo. Black cloth binding. 808 pp. Red topstain. Very good condition. Former owner's name in ink on flyleaf; no other markings. Price-clipped dust jacket, though unimpressive design-wise, is also in very good condition, with a bit of chipping at either end of the spine and at upper forecorners.
