Hardcover. 8vo. 314 pp. Beige cloth binding. Very good condition. Immaculate interior; no markings. Blue-variant dust jacket (book was also issued with red dust jackets, no priority apparent) is very good with some chipping along its edges (see photo).
This was the first book club edition issued, having cloth boards, a '3.00$' price on front dust jacket flap, and 'first edition' stated on copyright page. Blind stamp present. (Note: many, perhaps most, of the hardcover copies of 1984 being sold on the internet as first American editions are in fact book club editions such as this one.)
