Ayn Rand - The Fountainhead
Indianapolis: Bobbs Merill, 1943. First edition, early printing. Hardcover. 8vo. Red cloth binding with gilt titular lettering. 753 pp. This copy evinces several first issue point (page number resembling an 'o' on p. 9, 'refrred' on p. 321, 'G.W.' on p. 381, and 'Domininque' on p. 480) but is lacking author's preface, 'first edition' statement on copyright page. Good condition. Covers rubbed; former owners(s)' name in inkpen on front free endpaper; slight undulation to textblock along vertical axis (owing to paperclips rather than dampstaining it seems--see photos). Minor general wear evident along textblock edges. No markings. Original dust jacket (showing price of 3.00$ but having the second issue single-column format on the back) is edgeworn, missing chunks at spine ends but nevertheless still quite impressive.
