Illustrated with steel engravings, 43 maps, fold out facsimile of Confederate surrender. Good condition. Rubbing, surface excoriation to covers; former owner's name stamped on front pastedown of both volumes; undulation to upper forecorner of textblock section (pp. 443-576, roughly--see photos); underlining of proper names in the appendix of the second volume.
